Music Directors are Ray Feldman, Brad Simmons, Vadim Feichtner

Waterford, Connecticut – Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Music Theater Conference, today announced directors for music theater selections previously announced:
 
Warren Carlyle, director of the recent Broadway hit revival of Finian’s Rainbow, will make his O’Neill directorial debut with Buddy’s Tavern, (music by Kim Oler, lyrics by Alison Hubbard; book by Raymond De Felitta).  Ray Fellman, who has worked on many O’Neill development projects, including Blood Drive and Iron Curtain, will serve as Music Director.
 
Daniel Goldstein, director of the upcoming Broadway revival of Godspell, will return to the O’Neill  to direct Clear, (music by Stew and Paul Oakley Stovall; book and lyrics by Paul Oakley Stovall, with additional music by Irv Johnson and Stephen Goers). Brad Simmons, O’Neill Cabaret and Performance Conference Music Director,  will serve as Music Director.
 
Stuart Ross, creator and director of the world famous Forever Plaid, will return to the O’Neill to direct Eden (music by Mel Marvin; book and lyrics by Jonathan Levi). Vadim Feichtner, currently the Music Director and Conductor for Off-Broadway’s The Burnt Part Boys, will serve as Music Director.

2010 NATIONAL PUPPETRY CONFERENCE
 
20th Anniversary Season
Public Performances June 18 and 19
Richard Termine, Tim Lagasse and Martin P. Robinson, Guest Artists

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center has announced details of the upcoming 20th Anniversary Season of its National Puppetry Conference, which will take place June 9 through 20, once again under the leadership of Artistic Director Pam Arciero. This year’s Conference, drawing participants from around the world, will represent the largest gathering of puppet theater artists in its history.
 
Three ensemble productions will be developed during the Conference:  20 Year Remix: a Retrospective, directed by Richard Termine with Mariane Kubick, Tyler Bunch, Lenny Pinna, and Roger Danforth, with Bart Roccoberton as technical director; A Puppet Film, directed by Tim Lagasse with Martin P. Robinson and Leslie Carrara-Rudolph; and Marionettes, directed by Phillip Huber and Jim Rose with Fred Thompson. Continue reading

Cabaret Fellow Application Deadline June 1

Waterford, Connecticut – The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center, winner of the 2010 Tony Award for Regional Theater, has announced selections for this summer’s Cabaret and Performance Conference, Artistic Director Michael Bush.

Public performances begin Wednesday, August 4 with Opening Ceremonies and Preview, free to the public, and conclude Saturday, August 14 with Grand Finale Cabaret. Eight additional performances, including two featuring Cabaret Fellows, will also take place.

To Be Developed At The O’Neill This Summer

Waterford, Connecticut –The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center today announced that three musicals will be developed at its 2010 National Music Theater Conference under the leadership of artistic director Paulette Haupt.  The Conference runs from June 26 through July 16 on the O’Neill’s campus in Waterford, Connecticut.  Box Office and online ticket sales open Wednesday, June 9; advance ticket sales will be available to O’Neill Members beginning Monday, May 17.
