EUGENE O’NEILL THEATER CENTER ANNOUNCES
DIRECTORS AND MUSIC DIRECTORS FOR
2010 NATIONAL MUSIC THEATER CONFERENCE
Warren Carlyle, Daniel Goldstein, Stuart Ross to Direct
Music Directors are Ray Feldman, Brad Simmons, Vadim Feichtner
Waterford, Connecticut – Paulette Haupt, Artistic Director of the Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Music Theater Conference, today announced directors for music theater selections previously announced:
Warren Carlyle, director of the recent Broadway hit revival of Finian’s Rainbow, will make his O’Neill directorial debut with Buddy’s Tavern, (music by Kim Oler, lyrics by Alison Hubbard; book by Raymond De Felitta). Ray Fellman, who has worked on many O’Neill development projects, including Blood Drive and Iron Curtain, will serve as Music Director.
Daniel Goldstein, director of the upcoming Broadway revival of Godspell, will return to the O’Neill to direct Clear, (music by Stew and Paul Oakley Stovall; book and lyrics by Paul Oakley Stovall, with additional music by Irv Johnson and Stephen Goers). Brad Simmons, O’Neill Cabaret and Performance Conference Music Director, will serve as Music Director.
Stuart Ross, creator and director of the world famous Forever Plaid, will return to the O’Neill to direct Eden (music by Mel Marvin; book and lyrics by Jonathan Levi). Vadim Feichtner, currently the Music Director and Conductor for Off-Broadway’s The Burnt Part Boys, will serve as Music Director.
