RECEIVES NEW YORK DRAMA CRITICS’ CIRCLE SPECIAL CITATION
FOR SUSTAINED ACHIEVEMENT IN THE THEATRE

Viola Davis, currently playing the role of ‘Rose’ in the first Broadway revival of August Wilson’s 1987 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play FENCES, has been announced to receive the New York Drama Critics’ Circle (NYDCC) special citation for sustained achievement in the theatre at a private awards ceremony on Monday, May 10th at the Algonquin Hotel.
