Theatre and TV stars are coming out to support Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS at the 24TH ANNUAL Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction to be held on Sunday, September 26 from 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM in Shubert Alley (Shubert Alley & West 44th Street).

The event will be held outdoors in Shubert Alley and is free and open to the public. From posing with your favorite Broadway and Daytime stars for photos, to buying that lost cast recording, signed show posters and Playbills, rare costume sketches or special gift for a theatre-lover you can’t find anywhere – this year’s Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction promises to offer something for everyone.

This not-to-be-missed event for any serious Broadway theatergoer is free and open to the public and was named by Time Out New York as one of the “Best Once-a-Year Markets” in New York City.  From posing with your favorite Broadway star for photos to buying that lost cast recording, signed show posters and Playbills, rare costume sketches or special gift for a theatre-lover you can’t find anywhere – this year’s Broadway Flea Market & Grand Auction promises to offer something for everyone.

One of the most popular sites at Broadway’s “one-day sale” is the Celebrity Autograph Table at which your favorite stars from Broadway, Off-Broadway and Daytime Drama sign autographs and pose for photos in exchange for donations to BC/EFA.

Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS is pleased to announce BROADWAY BARES: CLASSIC, the next edition of their popular “Solo Strips” series to be held Sunday, June 6 (9 & 11 PM) at Splash (50 West 17th Street). BROADWAY BARES: CLASSIC will feature strips inspired by favorite numbers from BROADWAY BARES’ 20-year history. Headlining the evening will be BARES creator and executive producer Jerry Mitchell, who will take the stage of Splash, where he first created the event in 1992.

Other favorite performers set to strut, strip and show that they “still got it” include: Jennifer Cody (Shrek The Musical), Steve Geary (Contact), Sebastian LaCause (The Rocky Horror Show), Rachelle Rak (Fosse), Christopher Harrison and Andrew Pacho (both from AntiGravity) and more.

When asked about his upcoming strip, Jerry replied, “Friends have been asking just how much I will be taking off, and I’m not quite sure yet. But I always find getting dressed much harder.  Don’t you?  Don’t miss the fun!”
 
BROADWAY BARES: CLASSIC will feature the work of choreographers such as Jerry Mitchell, Christopher Harrison, Andrew Pacho, Denis Jones, Peter Gregus, Nick Kenkel and Rachelle Rak.

MAY DATES SET FOR ROOFTOP STRIP AND SOLO STRIPS

Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS and Jerry Mitchell announce May “double header” editions of BROADWAY BARES events featuring the hottest men currently on and off Broadway. The first of the May events BROADWAY BARES: ROOFTOP STRIPS will be held Sunday, May 9 at Hudson Terrace (621 West 46th Street between 10th and 11th Aves).  On Sunday May 16, Splash (50 West 17th Street) will play host to the latest edition of BROADWAY BARES: SOLO STRIPS. Both shows will have two performances at 8 PM and 10 PM.

PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT BROADWAY CARES/EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS


Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS will present the 24th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition on Monday, April 26 (4:30 PM) and Tuesday, April 27 (2 PM) at the Minskoff Theatre (200 West 45th Street). The proceeds from the event will benefit BC/EFA.
 
This year’s EASTER BONNET COMPETITION will feature a rotating cast of hosts that are among Broadway’s biggest stars. Stars scheduled to host include: Dylan Baker (God of Carnage), Corbin Bleu (In The Heights), Colman Domingo (A Boy and His Soul, Passing Strange), Chad Kimball (Memphis), Constantine Maroulis (Rock of Ages), Jan Maxwell (Lend Me A Tenor, The Royal Family), Michael Mulheren (Looped), Laura Osnes (South Pacific), Loretta Ables Sayre (South Pacific), and Michael Urie (The Temperamentals).
 
In addition, the show will feature a special appearance by BC/EFA longtime friend Doris Eaton Travis, the 106-year-old original Ziegfeld Follies Girl. Doris made her first appearance at the EASTER BONNET COMPETITION in 1998 and has been a highlight of many editions of the annual event.
 
At the Tuesday performance, the Easter Bonnet judges will include: Jennifer Cody (Shrek The Musical), James Claffey Jr. (President / Local One – IATSE), Katie Finneran (Promises, Promises), Laura Michelle Kelly (Mary Poppins), Beth Leavel (Mamma Mia!), Alfred Molina (Red), Brian Stokes Mitchell (President of The Actors Fund of America), and Chris March (“Project Runway”).
 
This year’s judges will be introduced by Million Dollar Quartet stars: Hunter Foster, Levi Kreis, and Elizabeth Stanley.
 
Montego Glover (Memphis) will sing “Help Is On The Way,” the official anthem of BC/EFA.
