NYC’s Best Shows to be Featured on NBC New York Nonstop Giving Telethon

THE 39 STEPS, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS, and JERSEY BOYS, and will all be featured tomorrow as part of the first annual NBC New York Nonstop Giving Telethon. The New York Theatre special will air tomorrow, December 2 at 7 AM, 10:30 AM, 5 PM, and 10:30 PM, on NBC New York Nonstop (Time Warner Cable, channel 161). NBC New York Nonstop was on the scene at New World Stages as THE 39 STEPS kicked off their partnership with the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade.  Through January 2, the award winning comedy is donating $5 for every ticket sold through this partnership to support their breast cancer research and awareness efforts.

Bernadette Peters, currently starring in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC at the Walter Kerr Theatre, spoke to NBC New York Nonstop about her longtime support of Broadway Cares/ Equity Fights AIDS and the upcoming GYPSY OF THE YEAR COMPETITION which will be held December 6 & 7 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

At JERSEY BOYS, New York Nonstop captured footage during the 5th anniversary curtain call on Sunday, November 7 where it was announced that $1 from every ticket sold in the month of October would benefit the VH1’s Save the Music Foundation. JERSEY BOYS raised $43,521 to help restore the entire instrumental music education program at PS 85 in the Bronx.
