#3 (of 55) – LOMBARDI: Sports and theater collide (amicably) in this drama about the legendary gridiron coach Vince Lombardi, played by ‘Wonder Years’ dad Dan Lauria. Kicking off during pigskin season, it’s just the game-changing ticket for women who can’t get their guys near a Broadway theater.

Riley Big Show!

Brooklyn actor stars in ‘Lombardi’

Not a day goes by in which Rob Riley doesn’t find himself asking a most profound question: How did I get here?

How, indeed?

How did a black kid growing up in a single-parent home in Brooklyn, playing football at Brooklyn Tech and then Lehigh, grow to become one of Broadway’s budding stars?

“It blows my mind daily,” Riley told The Post’s Lenn Robbins with more than just a trace of awe in his voice. “All I can say is, it’s awesome what’s happened so far. I’m so thankful. And when I think what could happen furthermore, I’m in shock.”

Riley is part of the six-person cast starring veteran actors Dan Lauria and Judith Light that will perform “Lombardi,” a play about the legendary Green Bay Packers football coach and based on the book, “When Pride Still Mattered: A Life of Vince Lombardi.”

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound Riley plays former Packer All-Pro linebacker Dave Robinson, with whom Lombardi shared a special relationship when the Civil Rights Movement had this nation finally thinking about race in every field of play.
