The Brazilian production of MAMMA MIA! will feature original scenery and costumes, with lyrics in Portuguese and a cast entirely from Brazil (to be announced shortly).

Considered a global phenomenon by the international press, MAMMA MIA!  has made musical theater history in only eleven years, and has become the gold standard of the form on the main stages of Europe, as well as on Broadway in New York City and across the United States.

MAMMA MIA! has currently been seen by over 42 million people and has grossed over US$ 2 billion in tickets sales in over 240 cities and 30 different countries.
Synopsis – Inspired by the story-telling magic of ABBA’s timeless songs, writer Catherine Johnson’s sunny, funny tale of family and friendship unfolds on a tiny Greek island.  On the eve of her wedding, a daughter’s quest to discover the identity of her father brings 3 men from her mother’s past back to the island they last visited 20 years ago.  ABBA’s hit songs including “Dancing Queen”; “The Winner Takes It All”; “Money, Money, Money” and “Take A Chance on Me” are all featured in this feel-good night of fun and laughter.
