Mamma Mia! Launches New North American Website





Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus’ global smash hit musical MAMMA MIA! is proud to announce the launch of a brand new multi-media North American website showcasing the Broadway and U.S. national tour productions.

The newly designed North American website offers dozens of innovative and social media driven state of the art features including:

• Twitter module allowing fans to select hit songs from MAMMA MIA! and a chance to see other fans from around the world who are quoting lyrics and talking about the musical’s famous tunes.

• Direct Facebook feed automatically linking to the latest news posted on the MAMMA MIA! North America Facebook page.

• Preview the soon-to-be-released iPhone application that will allow fans to create MAMMA MIA! themed photos using their iPhone camera.

• Multilingual Broadway ticketing information translated into French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese and Spanish.

• Interactive photo feature allows fans to superimpose a photo of their face on a costumed image to “Become a Dynamo” with the MAMMA MIA! photo e-card and then share with friends on Facebook.

• Video blogs offering a behind-the-scenes look with the stars of the Broadway show at the Winter Garden Theatre as well as a look inside life on the road with MAMMA MIA!

• Fan photos showcasing MAMMA MIA! fun and the wide range of fans who enjoy the show every night on Broadway and across the country.

• New York City Guidebook offering convenient list of local restaurants, shopping and attractions for local and out-of-town visitors alike.

• Comprehensive history timeline highlighting milestones and records set by the global hit musical.

• Partner section featuring MAMMA MIA! charity The Breast Cancer Research Foundation, including links for fans to join in their support by purchasing MAMMA MIA!’s specially designed” Rock Chick Supremo” T-shirt.

• U.S. online store where fans can stock up on show merchandise including cast recordings, MAMMA MIA! The Movie DVD, T-shirts, coffee mugs, the MAMMA MIA! vocal selection song book and key chains.

Seen by over 42 million people around the world, MAMMA MIA!, is celebrating over 3,500 performances in its ninth smash hit year at Broadway’s Winter Garden Theatre and remains one of Broadway’s top  selling musicals. The current North American Tour premiered has played over 3,000 performances in over 130 cities with 125 repeat visits. The original West End production of MAMMA MIA! is celebrating 10 years and over 4,000 performances in London, an international tour has visited more than 50 foreign cities, and the blockbuster feature film adaptation is the most successful movie musical of all time grossing over $600 million worldwide.
