“A singular astonishment: A kind of theatrical lightning blot that sizzles and startles at the same time. One of the best productions of Miller’s work that I’ve ever seen. A ravishing production.” – John Lahr, The New Yorker
“Extraordinary. Beautifully observed & exquisitely played by Liev Schreiber, Scarlett Johansson and Jessica Hecht.” – Ben Brantley, The New York Times
“Each scene of Gregory Mosher’s searing revival of A View From the Bridge flows seamlessly from the one before in a production that grips with a tension and volatility that make every moment seem unpredictable. There’s not a false note in any of the performances or an ill-considered directorial stroke in Mosher’s clear-eyed approach to this first-rate revival.” – David Rooney, Variety
“One of the most satisfying evenings of Miller in memory. It’s a piece that stands up to the fiercest dramas that this playwright ever conjured. The acumen on display raises the Cort’s thermostat from what might have been coolly sobering to positively scorching. You’ll leave, happy to have felt the theatrical heat!” – Peter Marks, The Washington Post
“Purely first rate theatre! A shattering view of the Miller classic, this is a subtle, brooding production that builds in emotional power and by the end, has us sucked in.” –Roma Torre, NY1
“Live Schreiber is utterly captivating. Liev Schreiber and Jessica Hecht are a couple of titans. Scarlett Johansson holds her own beautifully on that stage. That’s very high praise given the superlative work surrounding her.” –Roma Torre, NY1
“Mr. Schreiber is such a complete actor, with organic physical precision…Ms. Johansson holds her own with seeming effortlessness. She melts into her character so thoroughly that her nimbus of celebrity disappears…. Ms. Hecht is excellent. Her taught, vigilant Beatrice is fully conscious.” -Ben Brantley, The New York Times
