Levi Kreis is making his Broadway debut as Jerry Lee Lewis in MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET. As he gears up for opening night, we polled him to see what he did to fulfill his downtime . Take a look.

1.What album, book and movie are you recommending to friends these days?

I rediscovered an old, but powerful book again two weeks ago; YOU CAN HEAL YOUR LIFE, by Louise Hay.

All my friends have seen WAITING FOR GUFFMAN, if just to be able to talk to each other.

Always a must have album on my ipod: Tim Wilson, “BUT I COULD BE WRONG.”

2. What country (other than the US) would you most like to visit?

Australia. When winter comes here to the states, I spend the cold months listening to Australian internet radio and walking around an apartment full of happy lamps in a sarong. It helps me.

3. What musician, composer or pop icon would you most like to be stranded with on a desert island? Why?

Ellen!  I think we would have fun making a boat together, even if it didn’t actually float or save our lives.

4. What’s your favorite city or venue to play a gig at?

So far, it was performing my own material at Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.  Such a dream come true.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET is the new musical inspired by the night an auspicious twist of fate brought Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, and Elvis Presley together. The place was Sun Records’ storefront studio in Memphis. The man who made it happen was Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock and Roll,” who discovered them all. The four legends-to-be united for the only time in their careers for an impromptu recording that has come to be known as one of the greatest rock jam sessions of all time.

MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET opens Sunday, April 11 at the Nederlander Theatre (208 West 41st Street).
This musical, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET, is not affiliated with, or authorized by, Sun Records, Sam Phillips, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins or any of their successors in interest and no such affiliation or authorization should be inferred.
