ALL MY SON’S OPENS ON BROADWAY TONIGHT

ARTHUR MILLER’S “ALL MY SONS”

 

OPENS THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16TH

AT THE GERALD SCHOENFELD THEATRE

 

 

The new Broadway production of Arthur Miller’s ALL MY SONS, starring John Lithgow, Dianne Wiest, Patrick Wilson, and Katie Holmes, opens tomorrow night Thursday October 16  at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street).  Directed by Simon McBurney, the production will play a limited engagement through Sunday, January 11thALL MY SONS is produced by Eric Falkenstein, Ostar Productions, Barabara H. Freitag, Stephanie P. McClelland, Scott Delman, Roy Furman, Ruth Hendel, in association with Hal Luftig, Jane Bergère, and Jamie deRoy.  Previews began on September 18.

The cast of ALL MY SONS also features Becky Ann Baker (Sue Bayliss), Christian Camargo (George Deever), Jordan Gelber (Frank Lubey), Danielle Ferland (Lydia Lubey), Damian Young (Dr. Jim Bayliss), and Michael D’Addario (Bert).

 

Tony Award® nominee Tom Pye designs sets and costumes (Top Girls, Cyrano de Bergerac, The Glass Menagerie).  Tony Award® nominee Paul Anderson designs lights (Mnemonic, The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui, Stuff Happens).  Christopher Shutt (Moon for the Misbegotten, Coram Boy, Mnemonic) and Carolyn Downing (A Winter’s Tale & Pericles at RSC, The Overwhelming) designs sound.  Finn Ross for Mesmer designs projections (Silverland at the Arcola, A Disappearing Number, Measure for Measure).  Special Tony Award® winner Paul Huntley designs wigs and hair (Hairspray, Gypsy, Young Frankenstein).

 

Arthur Miller’s first successful play, All My Sons won the Tony Award for the author in 1947 and ran for 328 performances on Broadway.  Miller took his inspiration from a true story about a successful business man who knowingly sold the government defective airplane parts during World War II with tragic consequences.  The truth comes out and his life unravels when his son prepares to marry his business partner’s daughter.

The playing schedule for ALL MY SONS will be as follows:

Tuesday at 7pm

Wednesday – Saturday at 8pm

Wednesday and Saturday at 2pm

Sunday at 3pm

 

TICKET INFORMATION:

Tickets for all evening performances and all Saturday and Sunday matinee performances are $66.50 and $116.50.  Tickets for all Wednesday matinee performances are $61.50 and $111.50.  All prices include a $1.50 facility fee.  Tickets will be available at the Schoenfeld Theatre Box Office (236 West 45th Street) beginning August 21st, and by calling Telecharge at 212-239-6200 or visiting www.telecharge.com.
